The Studio
Prima MateriaMateria — from the Latin for matter, substance, raw material. The name reaches back to prima materia: the alchemical idea of the original, formless base from which every made thing begins.
Materia is born from that concept of prime matter, the origin of all creation. Just as form emerges from formlessness, our work begins in silence and culminates in inhabitation. Each space is not just built, but formed — layer by layer, idea by idea — until it becomes a vessel of life, culture and consciousness.
The studio draws on a deep respect for materiality, spatial rhythm and conceptual design thinking. We design, and we build what we design: interior and architectural design, turnkey finishing, and custom furniture made to the drawing.
Silence
The space as it stands. Empty, unresolved, and full of what it could become.
Emanation
The first flicker of an idea. A line, a reference, a decision about light.
Formation
Material, line and mass take their place. Drawings become instructions.
Inhabitation
The space is lived in. It stops being a project and becomes a place.
